Punch Out
A cXML PunchOut is a procurement integration method that allows buyers from external systems (such as Ariba, Coupa, or Workday) to access your store directly from their purchasing platform. Instead of browsing products and building a cart within their internal system, users are “punched out” to your e-commerce site where they can shop in real-time with up-to-date pricing and availability.
Once the buyer finishes shopping, the cart is returned to their system in a structured cXML (Commerce XML) format. The order is then completed through their own procurement approval and purchase process.
